In recent days, the national road n°9, which connects Settat to the center of Sidi El Aidi, witnessed a traffic accident in which an unidentified person was the victim, before the members of the Royal Gendarmerie of the Cycling Division of Settat later identified him after a great effort.
The victim was then transferred to the morgue of the Hassan II hospital in Settat after completing all the administrative procedures, while members of the Royal Gendarmerie, in coordination with the competent public prosecutor’s office, continued the search and investigation to determine his identity. The investigators arrived at the results of the findings, they contacted the victim’s family to begin the investigation accompanying the delivery of the body of their loved one for burial.
If we raise this topic of discussion, the aim is to shed light on all the constraints, problems and obstacles that most Moroccan families encounter in receiving and transporting the bodies of their deceased who died in fatal traffic accidents, suicides or unnatural deaths. which require a medical autopsy to discover the circumstances, starting with the hospital administration and continuing with the police or gendarmerie reports, they go to the registry to receive the burial permits or the medical autopsy. Then the person returns at lightning speed and waits. in turn in front of the morgue to receive the body after its wooden coffin has been waxed, which in turn awaits the approval of the security services and the opinion of the local authorities, provided that the burial place is located in an urban area, such as. Apart from this, the administrative procedures become more complex.
Long and tedious journeys involve tedious back-and-forth in queues, which requires the creation of a one-stop shop within hospitals that includes representatives from all relevant departments in order to bring services closer together, on the one hand, and to reduce the burden of travel between different public administrations, on the other hand.
