Moroccan Khadija Al-Mardi left the boxing competition this Sunday morning, as part of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Al-Mardi was defeated by Australia’s Caitlin Parker in the quarter-finals of the 75kg.
Al-Mardi appeared unconvincing from the first round of the fight, given the heaviness of her movements compared to the speed of Australian boxing.
Al-Mardi was expected to win today’s fight to secure Morocco’s first medal at the Paris Olympics, before falling to her Australian opponent.
