The General Directorate of National Meteorology forecasts hot weather for today, Monday, August 5, 2024, in the Plains to the West of the Atlas, the Southeast and the East of the Southern Provinces.
The formation of fog masses is also expected near the Atlantic coasts and the Mediterranean coast, while the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Middle Atlas highlands and the south of the Eastern region.
Scattered thunderstorms are also forecast in the far south of the Kingdom overnight.
Locally strong gusts of wind will be observed in the South of the Eastern Region, the Atlas and the Central and Southern Coasts.
Minimum temperatures will be between 25 and 30 degrees in the Center, the Anti-Atlas Regions, the Eastern Region, the extreme South-East and the East of the Southern Provinces, between 15 and 22 degrees on the high plateaus and near the Coasts, and will be between 21 and 25 degrees in the rest of the country.
Maximum temperatures will be falling in the South and high or stable in the rest of the Regions.
Calm to slightly rough seas on the Mediterranean coast and the Strait, rough between Casablanca and Tarfaya, rough to locally strong during the morning and rough to strong on the rest of the coasts.
