Here is the ranking of cities in terms of business failure in Morocco

Around 7,659 companies declared bankruptcy in the first half of this year in Morocco.
This means that more than 1,276 companies go bankrupt every month and more than 42 companies go bankrupt every day.
The delays in payment of debts of companies in their transactions with their clients in the public and private sectors, with delays, are among the main reasons for the closure of companies’ doors.
Currently, the rate of increase in bankruptcies is 14 percent compared to the same period in 2023. The city of Tangier tops the ranking in terms of the number of bankrupt companies (+35 percent).
Next come the cities of Rabat (+30%), Agadir (+15%) and Marrakech (+13%). Casablanca and Fez recorded the lowest rates (+7%).
The most affected sectors are trade (33 percent), construction (15 percent), transport (9 percent) and manufacturing (7 percent).
Then there is the agricultural sector which recorded an increase of 24 percent, mainly due to unfavorable weather conditions and inflation. The health sector recorded bankruptcies of 24 percent, while bankruptcies in the hotel and catering sector increased by 22 percent.
