Algerian authorities have handed over to Morocco a second batch of people they had been holding for various reasons in their prisons, most without any meaningful charges.
In this regard, the Algerian authorities handed over 60 Moroccans detained in Algerian prisons, including a young woman, by exceptionally opening the “Zug El Baghali” border post between the two countries.
Algeria has bowed to international pressure over the arrest of a number of Moroccans without legal basis and had already handed over a batch of 15 Moroccan citizens last week.
