The city of Tangier on Saturday, September 5, bid farewell to the bodies of a mother and her daughter, who hail from the province of Al Hoceima, after they tragically lost their lives days ago in a devastating accident in the waters of the Algeciras port in southern Spain.
The funeral prayer for the victims was held after the Dhuhr prayer at the Al Arbaeen Mosque in Tangier, attended by family members and relatives, in an atmosphere of deep sorrow and grief, before the bodies were laid to rest.
The victims were part of a family whose car was preparing to travel to Morocco when it veered off course and fell into the port's waters. The accident resulted in the deaths of three family members, while the father and the daughter's fiancé survived, according to information available to the family.
The trip, which carried great hopes for the daughter who was preparing to get married and begin a new chapter in her life, turned into a painful family tragedy, as her dreams were tragically cut short in the port waters.
After difficult days of waiting and pain, the bodies of the mother and daughter were transported to Morocco, where their funeral procession took place in Tangier, amidst strong feelings of grief and loss.
This tragedy has left deep shock among the family members and relatives of the victims, as the journey back to their homeland turned into a tragedy that claimed the lives of three family members, leaving behind profound sorrow for relatives and loved ones.
