The Minister of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, Mohammed Saad Barada, oversaw the official launch of the 2026-2027 academic year in the Amer commune of Salé on Monday, under the slogan "For a Quality Public School for All." This took place during a field visit that included the inauguration of the pioneering primary school "Ibn Battuta."
The visit provided an opportunity to review the measures taken to ensure the smooth start of the academic year, particularly regarding student enrollment, communication with families, and coordination with local authorities to ensure all students attend school. The minister also observed the administration of preliminary placement tests and the assessment of learning achievements for first-grade students at Ibn Battuta school, and reviewed the progress of studies in preschool and primary education classes and the conditions for student reception.
The visit also allowed for an assessment of the progress of social support programs, as these mechanisms aim to encourage school attendance and academic achievement, and to promote the principles of equity and equal opportunities within the public school system.
