Royal Gendarmerie elements at the territorial center in Beni Hedaifa, in Al Hoceima province, managed today, Tuesday, to arrest a person originating from Al Hoceima city, as he arrived on a public transport bus coming from Issaken.
The arrest of the individual concerned, according to available data, came after he was subjected to a search, which resulted in the seizure of a quantity of hard drugs in his possession. He was then taken to the Royal Gendarmerie headquarters to complete the necessary legal procedures.
The arrested individual is expected to undergo investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecution to uncover the source of the seized drugs and determine if the operation is part of a broader activity related to drug trafficking.
This operation comes as part of security efforts aimed at combating the trafficking of various types of drugs and tightening control over transportation means and routes leading to the province's cities and villages.
