Tangier… girl walking around in ‘revealing dress’ brings freedom debate back to the forefront

The appearance of a young girl dressed in a “revealing” dress in one of the streets of the city of Tangier has sparked a great controversy among social media users, who have once again raised the debate on freedom from the perspective of human rights.

Widely circulated images in the blue sky showed a young girl “in underwear” with a transparent dress over it, standing in one of the streets of the city of Tangier, with another young woman next to her, where comments were generated between those who denounced what they called this matter of “moral deterioration” and others considered that this issue fell within the scope of individual freedoms.

Another group then published legal documents supporting the legislature’s position on “nudity” in public, while others discussed laws criminalizing defamation and photographing citizens without permission.
