HIBAPRESS
Algeria has made new changes to its diplomatic and consular representations abroad, which included ending the mission of Consul General in the city of Oujda, Hicham Farhati, and appointing him to a similar position in the British capital, London.
This change came as part of a broad diplomatic and consular reshuffle announced by the Algerian presidency, affecting a number of ambassadors and consuls across several countries. Farhati had begun his duties as Consul General of Algeria in Oujda in March 2024, before leaving the post for London, where he was appointed Consul General of Algeria in the United Kingdom.
In contrast, the new appointments did not reveal the name of an official who will succeed Farhati at the Oujda consulate, leaving the position of Consul General vacant at present.
