Mohamed Wahbi, coach of the Moroccan national team, will hold a press conference on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, starting at 11:00 AM, to reveal the list of players who will be called up to participate in the upcoming two matches against Gabon and Lesotho.
The national coach will announce during the conference the names that will be considered for the continental qualifiers, in the first two rounds of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
Matches against Gabon and Lesotho
The Moroccan national team will begin its qualifiers campaign by facing its Gabonese counterpart on Friday, September 25, at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
The national team will then travel to South Africa, where it will face the Lesotho team on Tuesday, September 29, in the city of Bloemfontein, as part of the second round of the qualifiers.
The Moroccan national team is banking on a strong start in the qualifiers, by accumulating as many points as possible in the two matches, and strengthening its chances of securing a place in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
Wahbi's anticipated list is attracting great attention, amid the Moroccan fans' anticipation to know the names the national coach will rely on, especially with the emergence of a number of new players and the return of others to prominence recently.
