HIBAPRESS – E. Semlali
The Moroccan artistic experience continues to earn international acclaim and solidify its significant presence at major festivals. In a new academic and critical milestone, the artist and director Latifa Ahrar, Director of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Art and Cultural Animation in Rabat, is making a distinguished appearance as part of the jury for the "Elite Shows" competition at the second edition of the Dhofar International Theater Festival, held in the Omani city of Salalah.
The festival's choice of a theatrical figure of Latifa Ahrar's caliber reflects the intellectual and artistic value that Moroccan competencies have come to hold in guiding and shaping the Arab theater scene.
In this judging role, Ahrar joins a constellation of prestigious names, critics, and academics from international theater schools. This opens wider horizons for genuine cultural exchange and allows for the production of critical insights that bridge the gaps between leading experiences and contemporary trends in the art of theater.
Salalah is witnessing intense theatrical competition during this event, where diverse aesthetic sensibilities converge. The participating shows are divided into three main tracks: the "Elite Shows" competition, the "Major Shows" competition, and the "Children's Theater" competition.
This diversity forms a hub of cultural interaction that grants the theater stage its true authority as a free space for human dialogue and the strengthening of bonds between different peoples and societies.
