A huge fire broke out in the early hours of Sunday morning in a commercial store selling furniture in the Al-Mahamid area of the Menara district, causing severe material losses, with no human injuries reported.
According to available data, the aforementioned fire, which erupted suddenly under circumstances that remain mysterious and unknown to date, caused panic and fear among the neighboring residents who witnessed the incident.
The same sources added that civil defense firefighters, after tremendous efforts, managed to extinguish the flames and contain them to prevent them from spreading to adjacent homes.
The same sources indicated that the local authorities and security services immediately arrived at the scene to take the legal measures in force in such cases, in implementation of the instructions of the competent public prosecution.
