Mohamed Chouki, president of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) party, launched an attack on his political opponents from the city of Tetouan, coinciding with the conclusion of his party's major communication meetings on Sunday, shortly before the election. He affirmed that his party has remained close to the citizens throughout the past years and did not wait for the election date to discover the field, commenting by saying: "Not like some who have only just discovered deep Morocco now."
Chouki defended the achievements of Aziz Akhannouch's government, highlighting that it has transformed commitments made five years ago into tangible achievements on the ground. He acknowledged that time did not allow the executive branch to accomplish everything, which, he believes, necessitates renewing trust to continue the path of construction.
The party president reviewed the social and health achievements that characterized the term, pointing to the expansion of health coverage to include 32 million Moroccans instead of 9 million previously, and the benefiting of 4 million families from direct social support, in addition to the rehabilitation of 1400 local health centers and the establishment of new hospitals. He also emphasized the centrality of the education and employment sectors through the employment of thousands of teachers and the establishment of about two thousand enterprises in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region.
Chouki pledged to continue this path through a future program under the slogan "Dignity and Opportunities for All," in which the party commits to raising the minimum wage to 5000 dirhams and strengthening the rights of employees and contractors. He also touched upon the recent government decisions with a direct impact on citizens' lives, such as the cancellation of daylight saving time and the return to standard time, confirming his party's continued tireless work on the ground.
