More than 4,000 children from Maqdissi benefited from the 2024 summer school program launched by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency in early August.
Sponsored by the Agency’s “Children’s Club for Al-Quds”, with funding from the Moroccan Cultural Center Association, this program, held in 17 establishments, is an opportunity for Maqdessi children to benefit from entertaining and educational activities in a setting marked by conviviality and joy.
Operating under the personal supervision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency launched this program despite the difficult circumstances facing the Holy City in particular and Palestine in general, thus reaffirming its firm determination to provide support to the maqdessis through its various initiatives.
Under the banner “For the consecration of the values of unity and solidarity”, this program aims to enable beneficiary establishments to offer children a safe and welcoming environment, focused on support, psychological guidance and appropriate educational activities, in order to help them overcome the difficult situation that Al-Quds and Palestine are going through, through 150 art, theater and games workshops that promote learning.
In addition, the summer school program includes several first aid training courses led by qualified trainers. It also focuses on training in best practices for safety and security, both at home and at school, especially during emergency situations.
This year’s program is spread across all the neighborhoods of Al-Quds and areas outside the wall, where four camps dedicated to the history of displaced villages have been set up, alongside another camp for architecture students, whose activities focus on preparing architectural designs for some facilities in the devastated Gaza Strip.
In this context, many Palestinian personalities and educational and associative actors welcomed the support of HM King Mohammed VI, praising the role of the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif Agency in the defense of the holy city and its inhabitants, especially children.
