A person died in the early hours of this Monday morning, following a fatal road accident that occurred on the highway connecting Tiznit and Dakhla, near the Oued Oudoudou bridge.
According to a local source, the accident occurred following a strong collision between a large truck and a "pickup" type vehicle that was designated for transporting a quantity of fish.
The violent collision resulted in the death of the fish transport vehicle driver at the scene, while his companion sustained injuries of varying severity, necessitating his urgent transfer to the hospital to receive necessary treatment.
Upon being notified of the incident, local authorities, Royal Gendarmerie elements, and Civil Defense rushed to the scene. Necessary measures were taken, the accident was inspected, and an investigation was opened to determine its circumstances and causes.
