The Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports has placed a number of educational institutions hosting polling stations at the disposal of all local and elected authorities to ensure the success of this national entitlement.
This comes in response to a circular from the Prime Minister stipulating that public administrations contribute to the preparation of the legislative elections scheduled to be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. This requires good management and strict organization to ensure they are conducted in the best possible conditions, forming an important milestone in our country's democratic journey that must be achieved.
In response to this development, the Provincial Directorate of Education in Settat issued a memorandum circulated to the heads of educational institutions hosting polling stations, calling on them to place these latter at the disposal of the local authorities, in full coordination with the representative of the concerned local authority, from Monday, September 21, 2026, until Wednesday, September 23, 2026. They are also asked to provide the necessary facilities for the staff working in the educational institution to perform their national duty of participating in voting.
The Prime Minister's circular indicated that the large number of bodies overseeing the voting process and other related operations, such as polling stations and central offices, which amounts to approximately 44,000, requires the mobilization of all available material resources at the national level from all state administrations and institutions, while urging everyone to adhere to its provisions.
It is worth noting that many educational institutions in the Settat province have opened their doors to host polling stations, placing their classrooms and equipment such as desks, chairs, and sanitary facilities at the service of all to ensure the success of this national entitlement. However, it is required that everyone preserve these facilities, their surroundings, trees, drawings, and artworks that have added a touch of beauty to their walls. The concerned parties are urged to work on removing the advertisements that were drawn on their walls immediately after the announcement of the results.
