For his part, Bourita expressed his thanks to his Cabo Verdean counterpart for the firm and strong support provided by his country for the Moroccan Sahara, commending the opening of the Consulate General of the Republic of Cabo Verde in Dakhla in August 2022.
The two ministers also reaffirmed their commitment to the excellence of bilateral relations, characterized by friendship, cooperation, and solidarity, as well as their will to further strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
In this regard, Bourita expressed Morocco's desire to support Cabo Verde in developing priority sectors, particularly health, tourism, fisheries, agriculture, the blue economy, and the energy transition.
The two parties agreed to hold the third session of the Joint Cooperation Commission during the first quarter of 2027, with the aim of exploring new partnership opportunities and giving a new impetus to various areas of cooperation.
Regarding the royal initiatives aimed at developing and emerging Africa, the Republic of Cabo Verde praised the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and commended the royal initiatives to achieve peace, stability, and shared prosperity on the continent, particularly the initiative for African Atlantic States and the royal initiative to facilitate the access of Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean.
