The Governor of Boulemane Province, Allal El Baz, presided on Monday, September 21, 2026, over a religious ceremony held in one of the mosques of Missour city, commemorating the 28th anniversary of the death of His Majesty the late King Hassan II, may God have mercy on him.
The occasion was commemorated in a spiritual atmosphere characterized by reverence and remembrance of the late King, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Province, the Head of Internal Affairs, along with a number of heads of external departments, representatives of public administrations, and civil and military personalities.
The religious ceremony was an occasion to recall the biography of King Hassan II and his path in the history of the Kingdom of Morocco, through the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and raising hands in supplication to God Almighty to encompass the deceased with His vast mercy and grant him paradise.
This anniversary is an annual milestone during which Moroccans recall a phase of the Kingdom's history associated with a number of projects, institutions, and transformations that Morocco witnessed during the reign of the late King, alongside prominent milestones in the country's trajectory at the political, economic, social, and developmental levels.
The occasion in Missour also marked a moment of loyalty to the memory of King Hassan II and a remembrance of his path in serving the Kingdom, within the framework of a religious and national tradition that various provinces and prefectures are keen to revive annually.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for the late King for mercy and forgiveness, for the Kingdom of Morocco for continued security and stability, for King Mohammed VI for success and guidance, and for the members of the honorable Royal Family for good health and well-being.
