An argument broke out between a wheat juice seller at the Qena mosque late in the morning on Sunday, August 11, with street vendors of sunglasses of African nationality, which turned into an exchange of blows that required the intervention of security forces to resolve the dispute and take the parties to the police station.
Regarding the reasons for this incident, which caused confusion in the Alfna Mosque Square, after a number of Africans, mostly street traders, joined their colleagues to support their colleagues, before the juice seller’s colleagues intervened, and that the situation would have almost caused casualties if it had not been for the timely intervention of the security services to resolve the conflict.
Local sources revealed that the reason for the incident was that the juice seller asked the African vendors to move away from where he was doing business but they refused before the situation turned into a fight and then to the police station to listen to the parties and take necessary action against them.
