Judicial police in Nador arrested three individuals on Wednesday, suspected of involvement in a case related to tampering with the identification numbers of a car with foreign plates, as part of a judicial investigation supervised by the competent public prosecution.
The case began after the detainees filed a report stating that a car with foreign plates was lost. However, initial investigations revealed contradictions in the provided information, prompting investigators to deepen inquiries into the circumstances of the vehicle's disappearance.
Investigations led to suspicions of an attempt to use the identification numbers of the car reported lost on another new car, while reporting the first vehicle as missing, with the aim of benefiting, according to suspicions, from its customs status and avoiding associated legal obligations.
The three suspects have been placed under judicial custody to deepen the investigation and identify all the circumstances of the case and potential responsibilities. Technical expertise related to documents and car chassis numbers is expected to reveal additional information. The attributed actions remain mere suspicions until the investigation concludes and a final judicial decision is issued.
