HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyaoui
In a scene reflecting the difficulty of the field situation, a number of users of National Road No. 12 connecting Tinghir and Imilchil found themselves on Friday compelled to get out of their cars and directly contribute to opening the road, after recent rainfall caused the accumulation of soil and rocks, obstructing traffic.
According to available data, a number of citizens and visitors to the season, whose cars and vehicles were stuck, found themselves facing a damaged section of the road. This prompted them to use simple tools, such as brooms and shovels, to remove soil and stones and open a passage allowing vehicles to continue their journey in the absence of responsible authorities.
This situation highlights the extent of the difficulties that may face users of this road axis during periods of rainfall, given the nature of the region and its topography, and what may accompany the rains in terms of soil erosion, falling rocks, and obstruction of traffic.
The scene sparked widespread reaction among road users, as demands increase for reinforced field interventions and rapid removal of rainfall debris, to avoid citizens being stranded and to ensure the continuity of traffic on this vital axis.
The need remains to continue mobilizing specialized mechanisms and teams to monitor damaged sections and intervene when necessary, especially with the continued possibility of new rainfall, to ensure the safety of road users and maintain the flow of traffic between Tinghir and Imilchil.
