The rainfall witnessed by the region on the evening of Friday, October 2, 2026, caused a disruption in traffic on Regional Road No. 704, at the Dades River Bridge in the commune of Ait Sedrat Al-Jabal Al-Soufla, in the province of Tinghir.
According to available data, the rise in the flow of the Dades River led to an obstruction of traffic at the bridge, making the road section impassable for vehicles, amidst a state of caution and anticipation among road users.
This situation comes in light of the rainfall experienced by the region, which contributed to the rise in water levels and the flow of a number of streams and valleys, necessitating the utmost caution and vigilance, especially for drivers wishing to use this route.
Given the recorded situation, attention is drawn to the competent authorities to monitor the situation in the field, secure the vicinity of the bridge, and work to reopen the road as soon as the water level recedes and conditions stabilize, to ensure the safety of road users.
The call remains to avoid the risk of crossing submerged sections of the road or approaching riverbeds during periods of rainfall, to avoid any potential dangers, especially with the possibility of a sudden rise in water flow.
