HIBAPRESS – Italy: Abdel Latif El Baz
In the framework of strengthening the policy of proximity and openness to members of the Moroccan community, the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Naples has landed in the city of Lecce, southern Italy, as part of a mobile consular station aiming to bring services closer to Moroccans residing in the region.
The station provided an opportunity for the Consul General, Hicham Sabbata, to hold communication meetings with a number of civil society actors and community representatives. During these meetings, views were exchanged on a number of issues concerning Moroccans residing in southern Italy, and their expectations and concerns were heard.
In the same context, the Consul General held a meeting with the Mayor of Lecce, dedicated to discussing ways to enhance institutional communication and cooperation, contributing to supporting the presence of the Moroccan community and strengthening its integration into its local environment.
These meetings reflect the consular representation's keenness to adopt an approach based on direct communication and listening, in addition to bringing administrative services closer to citizens, especially members of the community residing far from the consulate headquarters.
The Lecce station comes to confirm the presence of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Naples in a number of areas in southern Italy, by combining the service dimension with communication with community actors and openness to local institutions and authorities.
