The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs announced that Tuesday, October 13, 2026, will be the first of Jumada al-Awwal for the year 1448 AH, following the inability to sight the crescent moon on Sunday evening, October 11.
The ministry stated in an official release that it monitored the crescent moon of the new month on Sunday evening, corresponding to the 29th of Rabi' al-Akhir 1448 AH, in coordination with the delegates of Islamic Affairs in various regions of the Kingdom and units of the Royal Armed Forces tasked with contributing to the observation process.
The entities participating in the observation confirmed the non-confirmation of the crescent moon sighting, which means that Rabi' al-Akhir will be completed with thirty days, making next Tuesday the first day of Jumada al-Awwal in Morocco.
