The Barcelona team suffered a stunning defeat against the French club Monaco (0-3) in the match that brought them together on Monday evening, as part of the friendly football competition of the Joan Gamper Cup, in preparation for the competitions of the new season.
The Monaco hat-trick was scored by Lamine Kamara, Brill Embolo and Christian Moisa in the 52nd, 57th and 86th minutes respectively at the Stade Olympique Louis Companis.
This is Barcelona’s biggest defeat in the history of Joan Gamper Cup friendlies, while the Blaugrana’s last defeat in this competition dates back to 2012, when the Catalan team lost to Italian club Sampdoria by a single goal.
