HIBAPRESS – Jerada
Work is underway on the construction of a shelter for stray dogs, cats, and animals in the Ouled Saleh area, affiliated with the Houara Ouled Rahou commune in the Jerada province, near the landfill, with the project reaching its final stages.
This project is being carried out by the Provincial Council of Jerada, with a budget of approximately 173.7 million centimes, aiming to contribute to reducing the phenomenon of stray animal proliferation and enhancing health and safety conditions in the various communes of the province.

The shelter includes spaces for housing animals, as well as facilities for veterinary consultation, treatment, sterilization, and cleaning, in addition to administrative and health facilities and specialized equipment for animal care.
This project is expected to be a significant addition to the efforts to manage the stray animal issue in the Jerada province, by providing a dedicated space to deal with them in a manner that respects public safety, health, and animal welfare requirements.
