The anti-gang unit of the Marrakesh security directorate managed, on Sunday morning, to apprehend an individual inside a house in the New Park residence in the Al-Saada neighborhood in the Gueliz district, on suspicion of his involvement in a case of trafficking hard drugs.
The arrest operation, according to the newspaper's sources, took place after the aforementioned unit received information about the suspect's whereabouts. The house he was using was raided, and the search resulted in the seizure of hard drugs, in addition to an electronic scale. Checking the individual's record revealed that he was the subject of five national arrest warrants.
The arrested individual was taken to the judicial police headquarters of the Marrakesh security directorate in order to formalize the arrest report and deepen the investigation, and he was placed in police custody before being brought before the Public Prosecution.
