The city of Dakhla is preparing to host the third edition of the Dakhla International Race, organized by the Wadi Al-Dahab Athletics Association, celebrating the first anniversary of Unity Day, under the slogan "Unity Day… and Sports Unite Us," with the United Arab Emirates participating as the guest of honor for this sporting event.
The organization of this event comes as part of efforts to enhance Dakhla's position as a sports and tourism destination, by hosting events that combine sports competition with openness to participants from outside Morocco, thereby contributing to showcasing the potential of the city and the region.
The race also aims to consolidate the noble values of sport, foremost among them citizenship, solidarity, and tolerance, as well as encouraging various segments of society to engage in sports activities and providing an opportunity for male and female runners to showcase their abilities and compete in an atmosphere of respect and sportsmanship.
The organizing entity is betting that this edition will be a new milestone in enhancing Dakhla's sporting influence and consolidating sports as a means of bringing peoples and cultures closer, in line with the event's slogan, which makes sport a unifying space for fostering communication and fraternity.
