Algerian boxer Iman Khalif has decided to file a complaint against American Elon Musk, owner of the social networking platform X, for “electronic harassment and intimidation”.

Iman Khalif won the gold medal at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, in the 66kg category, after continued campaigns of bullying around the world due to “gender identity”.

The lawsuit was filed against Musk’s social network X, which means it was brought against “persons unknown” under French law.

Nabil Boodi, Khalif’s attorney, said in statements to Variety magazine that Musk, the Tesla auto tycoon, and JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter novel series, were named in the criminal complaint filed with the Center for Combating Online Hate, an affiliate of the Public Prosecution Service, last week.

Boodai explained that this ensures that “the prosecution has full freedom to investigate all individuals,” including those who shared hateful messages under pseudonyms.

“JK Rowling and Elon Musk are mentioned in the lawsuit, among others,” Budi wrote on X, noting that potential US president Donald Trump would also be part of the investigation.

The 25-year-old, who is not a transgender woman, claims she has XY male chromosomes, leading to her being disqualified from the 2023 world championships after failing non-gender-specific eligibility tests conducted by the now-banned International Boxing Federation.
