Hassan Fakkak, technical director of the Moroccan National Olympic Committee, has provoked the anger of the Moroccan public after the disastrous results of Morocco’s participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

While Moroccans were waiting for an apology from the Moroccan National Olympic Committee for the disastrous results of the Olympic Games and the total failure of several athletes and sports, Hassan Fakkak, DTN of the CNOM, made a televised statement in which he described the result of the Moroccan participation in the Paris Olympic Games as a great achievement after considering it better than its predecessors in Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro.

Many believe that the technical director of the Moroccan Olympic Committee should be dismissed from his position after the total failure of Morocco’s participation in the Olympic Games, in addition to his provocative statement about the Moroccan result, because Bakkali’s gold and the national team’s bronze cannot be the tree that hides a forest of failures.

Morocco’s participation in the Olympic Games was characterized by total failure, as six athletes were disqualified due to their inability to complete the competition, the male component was absent in the boxing and taekwondo competitions, and Morocco ranked very low in the horse riding, golf, swimming and kayaking competitions.

Except for athletics and football, other sports failed miserably at the Olympic Games, but the technical director of the Moroccan Olympic Committee chose to slip up with a provocative statement that mocked the spirit of Moroccans.
