This meeting comes at the request of members of the board of the National Association of Saluki Breeders in Morocco, after the dissemination on social networks of videos documenting the interventions of the hunting police in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region as part of the fight against indiscriminate hunting, which resulted in the arrest of a number of young men who practice illegal hunting using… greyhounds, and the impounding of these dogs.
The meeting was characterized by transparency and credibility, as members of the National Association of Saluki Breeders expressed their understanding of the interventions carried out by the hunting police with the aim of protecting the country’s livestock from extinction. They also expressed their desire to cooperate with the hunting police to combat the scourge of indiscriminate hunting, highlighting their effort to create a legal framework that allows them to exercise their hobby legally, in order to preserve this popular heritage and protect it from extinction.
For their part, the members of the Bureau of the Regional Directorate of Hunting and the Hunting Police have confirmed their willingness to support and guide Saluki breeders, with the aim of establishing a legal framework that guarantees them the practice of their hobby in complete comfort.
It is worth noting that after the end of the meeting, Mr. Moaz Allam, a member of the Sniper Police of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, contacted the central administration of the National Agency for Water and Forests to inform it of the results of the investigation. the meeting.
