The African e-Sports Championships (AEC24) will be organized for the first time on the continent from August 17 to 21 in Casablanca, with the participation of 180 athletes from 17 African countries.
These championships, which promise to captivate fans across the continent, will allow participants to secure a place at the e-Sports World Championships scheduled for Riyadh next November, the organizers said in a statement.
This event, whose opening ceremony is scheduled for August 16 at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca, will see the organization of a series of competitions that will see more than 180 athletes from 17 countries compete in five categories, namely CS2 Open, CS2 Women, MLBB Open, MLBB Women and PubG mobile.
These exceptional talents will highlight not only their individual skills, but also the rise of eSports in Africa, the press release notes.
