Chefchaouen: Security reacts quickly to a “video” showing an incident of harassment of a foreign tourist

The General Directorate of National Security has responded quickly to a video clip widely circulated on social media, documenting an incident in which a foreign tourist was harassed while taking photos in one of the alleys of the Blue City.

The technical investigation revealed that the video was filmed and published in May 2023, coinciding with the presence of the aforementioned tourist in Morocco, and that at that time she did not file any complaints regarding these actions. After the publication of the video, the identity of the person involved. was identified and he was arrested last Friday.

The suspect was found to be suffering from psychological complications, as he had previously spent long periods in a psychiatric hospital.
