Weather: The Chergui announcement

Here is the weather forecast established by the General Directorate of National Meteorology for today, Monday, August 19, 2024:

– Fairly warm to locally hot weather with local chergui on the Northern and Central Plains, the South-East and on the East and South of the Saharan Provinces.

– Local fog formations in the morning and at night on the Central Atlantic Plains, the Mediterranean Shore and the Southern Coasts.

– Possible drizzle in the morning and at night on the Central Coasts and the North-West of the Saharan Regions.

– Showers and scattered thunderstorms towards the night in the extreme south of the country.

– Dust removal in the South and South-East Regions.

– Fairly strong gusts of wind in the Tangier region, Loukkos, the High Atlas and its eastern slopes, Saiss and in the north of the Oriental.

– Minimum temperatures of around 24/30°C in the extreme south and south-east of the country, 22/27°C in Tadla, Tensift, Loukkos, the interior of Gharb, the west of Saiss and the interior of Souss, 13/19°C in the Rif and the High and Middle Atlas and 18/23°C in the rest of the country.

– Maximum temperatures are rising across the board.

– Slightly rough seas in the Mediterranean, slightly rough to rough in the Strait and along the Atlantic coast
