The leaders of the Socialist Union Party announced on Thursday the death of Mohamed Lakhsasi, former Moroccan ambassador to Syria and former president of the National Union of Moroccan Students.

Khassasi was born in 1944 in Marrakech. Khassasi was known for his political activity within the wing of the jurist Basri.
He was head of Radio Maghreb Al-Shaub in Libya in the late 1960s. He was one of the members of Omar Dehkoun’s group tried after the events of March 1973 in Moulay Bouazza.
