Raja Athletic Club sweeps National Guard 5-0 (video)
Raja Sports Team have managed to secure their qualification for the second preliminary round of the African Champions League competition, after sweeping aside the Nigerian National Guard team, with five unanswered goals, for the return leg of the first round.
The first leg match between the two teams last Saturday, on the pitch of the “General Senni Kontchi” stadium in Niger, ended with a 1-2 victory for Raja.
Raja Athletic dominated the course of the match from the start, as they managed to score their first goal in the 27th minute through Mohamed Zoraida, then Nofal Zarhouni added the second goal six minutes later, before Mohamed Boulksot ended the first half with a third goal in the last minute.
The ‘Green Team’ continued to shine in the second half, with Adam Al-Nafati scoring the fourth goal in the 54th minute, and his teammate Saber Bogren adding in the 67th minute.
Raja players continued to threaten the Nigerian goalkeeper until the last minutes of the match, but without the score changing, the green team qualified for the second preliminary round of the African Champions League.
