Port Fouad Al-Masry player Hossam Arafat was involved in an accident on Monday during a friendly match with Customs.
In detail, the spectators of the match in the city of Port Said were surprised by a violent collision between Arafat and his teammate from the opposing team, as a result of which the Port Fouad player fell to the ground, motionless and immobile.
Immediately, the medical team rushed to the field and examined the player, where it was found that he had swallowed his tongue and suffered a concussion, as a result of which he fell into a coma. This prompted doctors to quickly transfer him to Al-Salam International Hospital.
For his part, an official source from the club revealed that Arafat had lost consciousness and that there were suspicions of skull fracture and hemorrhage, adding that he had been transferred to the intensive care room.
While doctors announced that the player’s condition was stable, they confirmed that he would be observed for 24 hours.
