Recent rains restore dam capacity

The total volume of water received by the various dams of the Ker-Zez-Gris aquatic basin, after the recent rainfall, is 10.01 million cubic meters as of August 26, according to what was reported by the Ker-Ziz-Gris Aquarium Agency.

The agency said in a note on recent rainfall that the rains that fell from August 23 to 26, particularly in the regions of Tinghir, Midelt and Errachidia, increased the volume of water reserves in the large dams in the agency’s intervention zone to more than 98.8 million cubic meters.

Thus, the volume of the water reserve of the Al-Hassan Dam inside reached 78.23 million cubic meters, a filling rate of 25.3 percent, followed by the Qudusa Dam with a capacity of 16.1 million cubic meters, the Timqit Dam (2.43 million cubic meters) and the Todgha (2.4 million cubic meters)
