For some “strange” reason, he killed his wife and child, then ended his life!
The village of Saidia al-Bahriyya in Damietta Governorate, Egypt, was known for the murder of a woman and her young daughter by hanging at the hands of her husband who committed suicide after committing the crime.
Villagers discovered the bodies of the woman and her child inside their residence, hanged, a few days after their murder, while her husband, Hilal Saad Hilal (45), was found in a deteriorating state of health. He was transferred to the Kafr Saad center. The hospital tried to treat him, but he breathed his last on Tuesday morning.
In statements to local media, the victim’s uncle said that her husband started causing problems with his late wife after she gave birth to the baby, “Lynn Hilal Saad”, due to her desire to have boys, with the couple giving birth to two girls, and the baby was their third daughter.
Before committing the crime, the husband was looking to sell all his assets, including the house he lived in with his family, which led to disagreements between him and his wife, Bushra Mahmoud (33), who refused to sell the house where they lived, which eventually led him to commit his crime.
According to some neighbors in the village, the father ordered his eldest and middle daughters to climb onto the roof of the house before committing his crime. By chance, the eldest daughter saw her father committing the crime, and when she screamed in horror. At the scene, her father threatened to kill her and her sister and locked them in one of the rooms for 3 days. He was present at the house with the bodies of his wife and child.
One of the neighbors also reported that the father brought some grain pills and ordered his two daughters to swallow them. He swallowed one of the pills, but the girls tricked the father into swallowing them. When the father collapsed and fell to the ground, the father swallowed the pills. Two girls came out and shouted for help from the villagers to help their father.
Authorities monitored the bodies of the woman and baby and the father was taken to hospital for treatment, but he died this morning.
The General Prosecutor’s Office is conducting the necessary investigations into the incident to uncover the circumstances of the accident, while the Kafr Saad Prosecutor’s Office has decided to preserve the husband’s body until a forensic committee is tasked with preparing the necessary report on the causes of death.
