This year, the Champions League draw will have new updates, as it will be carried out automatically with the help of a computer, and not manually with the help of former stars as in previous versions.

It will also be the first edition of its kind under the new system, with 36 teams participating instead of 32 teams following the changes made by UEFA.

The 36 teams have been divided into four tiers, where each team will play 8 matches against 8 different teams: facing two different teams from each tier, with one match at home and the other away.

No team may face a competitor from the same league, nor face more than two teams from the same country.
