Nador.. Arrest of 16 people involved in an attempted illegal migration to occupied Melilla

The security services of the Nador Security Region of the National Security and the Royal Gendarmerie managed, in a short time, to arrest most of the people involved and participating in the massive attack against occupied Melilla on the night of Sunday, September 1.

Well-informed sources revealed that the regional security services of Nador were able to arrest 9 of the people involved, while members of the Royal Gendarmerie of the Nador region arrested 7 people during two separate operations.

The same sources confirmed that most of the detainees, including those who incite illegal immigration, were arrested in the city of Beni Ansar and in the areas adjacent to the borders of the occupied border, and that most of them were aged between 18 and 28.
The arrest and detention of the persons concerned by the security services comes after the Moroccan authorities, in joint coordination between the Spanish and Moroccan security forces, managed to prevent around fifty people from swimming into the occupied port from the coast of Nador on Sunday evening.

In addition, the detainees were kept in custody under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, pending their trial in the interests of the accused.
