Booking a car using the “AndDrive” application and having its driver hired by General Statistics

Today, Tuesday, September 3, Tangier security services were able to seize a car equipped with the “InDrive” application during its delivery to customers at Tangier airport, based on a report submitted by taxi drivers about it.

But the surprise of this incident was the discovery that the driver of the seized car worked for the National Population and Housing Census, within a fleet rented for this purpose.

The security services towed the vehicle to the municipal pound, and the driver involved was taken to the security service to free a person prohibited in the incident.

It is known that the High Commission for Planning has mobilized a large fleet of cars from rental agencies in Casablanca in particular, and directed them to different regions of Morocco to use them in the general census. However, the use of the “InDrive” application is set up by the Halimi Commission has not been authorized by the administration, especially since this new method has entered into endless battles with city taxi drivers, despite the fact that many taxi professionals work alone with this application, and oppose it at the same time.
