Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo reached 900 goals in his 20-year football career after scoring for his country against Croatia in the European Nations League on Thursday.

Ronaldo scored his country’s second goal against Croatia in the 34th minute after receiving a perfect cross from left-back Nuno Mendes with a touch into the goal.

Ronaldo celebrated loudly and looked very emotional, as if he had just scored the first goal of his career.

The goal is Ronaldo’s 900th in his professional career with the Portugal national team and the clubs he has played for: Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and Al-Nassr Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo, 39, is expected to increase his goal tally as he has no plans to retire in the near future.
