The Minister of National Education, Primary Education and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa, defended the “One Million Wallets” initiative by providing annual direct financial support.
In his presentation at the press conference held on Friday morning, to shed light on the evolution of school admissions, the minister confirmed that this financial subsidy represents a new formula of direct support targeting specific social groups.
The minister added that the cost of the wallet under the “One Million Wallets” initiative is between 100 and 120 dirhams, indicating that the government will provide an aid of 200 dirhams for each student in primary and middle school and 300 dirhams for each student in the qualifying secondary school, indicating that the qualifying secondary level was not. It previously benefits from the “One Million Wallets Initiative”.
The minister indicated that the interests of the National Initiative for Human Development will be responsible for this process, which will begin next week, stressing that the support that will be disbursed should be allocated to the acquisition of books and school tools.
