Moroccan film “Everybody Loves Toda” in competition for an Oscar

The Moroccan film “Everyone Loves Toda,” directed by Nabil Ayouch, is in competition for the Oscar for best international film.

The film’s heroine, actress Nisreen Radi, said in a tweet she posted on her personal Facebook account: “We are happy and honored to announce that ‘Everybody Loves Toda’ has been chosen to represent Morocco at the Oscars.

The events of the film revolve around Toda, a girl from an isolated rural area who lives with her only son, before moving to Casablanca, where she seeks to fulfill her dream of becoming an artist.
