Paris Paralympic Games: Moroccan Zakaria Dirham wins bronze medal in shot put

Today, Saturday, Moroccan Zakaria Al-Dirham won the bronze medal in the shot put in the (F33) category of the athletics competition, as part of the Paris Paralympic Games, whose competitions will end tomorrow Sunday.

Al Derham, who won the gold medal at the Tokyo Games in the same competition, won the medal after clearing 11.26 metres.

The gold medal went to China’s Cai Pingchen, who cleared 12.77m, breaking the world record (the previous record was 12.36m), followed by Croatia’s Cerne Digne (silver) with a total of 12.18m.
This is the tenth medal for Morocco at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, after the bronze medals of runner Ayman El Haddaoui in the 100m in the T47 category, Ayoub Adwish in the under 63kg category in the K44 category, Raja Akramash in the over 65kg category in the same category in parataekwondo, and Saida Amoudi in the shot put in the F-34 category, runner Fatima Al-Zahraa Al-Idrissi won silver in the 1500m in the (T-13) category, and Abdul-Ilah Kani in the shot put, and Yousra Karim in the discus throw in the (F-41) category, and Izz Al-Din Al-Nuwairi in the shot put in the (F-34) category, and gold. Moncef Boga in the 400m race (T12).
