Casablanca: Opening of Sidi Othmane Park after completion of development work

The municipality of Casablanca announced on Saturday the opening of the Sidi Othmane park, after the completion of the development work supervised by the Casablanca Baia company.
According to a press release from the municipality, the Sidi Othmane park, designed to offer a new relaxation area to the inhabitants of the region and its surroundings, extends over an area of 8 hectares.
It stands out for having a green natural space covering 65% of its surface area, making it one of the main ecological spaces contributing to the improvement of air quality and the urban environment in the region.
According to the same source, the park has several facilities carefully designed to meet the needs of all age groups.
It includes a children’s playground, a sports area, a 1,500-metre-long walking trail, urban facilities and benches for the comfort of visitors, as well as public toilet facilities, and 645 trees of 23 different species.
The press release emphasizes that this park constitutes an added value to the chain of green leisure spaces in the city of Casablanca, thus reflecting the commitment of local authorities and elected officials to offer modern spaces that meet the expectations of residents while contributing to the cleanliness and beauty of the city.
