Official: Morocco and Italy sign an agreement on the mutual recognition of driving licenses

The government of the Kingdom of Morocco and the government of the Italian Republic signed today, Wednesday March 27 in Rome, an agreement on the mutual recognition of driving licenses with a view to their exchange.
This agreement was signed by Mr. Youssef Bella, Ambassador of His Majesty to the Italian Republic, and Mr. Matteo Salvini, Vice-President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, in the presence of the Deputy Minister responsible for maritime transport.
During the signing ceremony of this agreement at the headquarters of the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Salvini expressed his admiration for the progress made by Morocco and economic prosperity in the areas of road, rail and port infrastructure.
In this context, he called for the strengthening of bilateral relations in the field of transport, highlighting the investment opportunities offered by the Kingdom.
For his part, Mr. Bella affirmed that the realization of this agreement reflects the solid and continuous commitment of the Moroccan government, in execution of the royal instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and the constant attention that His Majesty pays to the Moroccan community abroad.
He added that this new mechanism adds to the legal arsenal which frames the excellent relations of cooperation and partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Italian Republic in many areas of common interest.
