African Karate Championship (Tunis-2024): 18 medals for Morocco, including 5 gold

The Moroccan karate team (Cadets, Juniors, U21) won 18 medals, including 5 gold, at the African Championships which took place from September 5 to 8 in Tunis.
The national karatekas also won 3 silver medals and 10 bronze medals, the Royal Moroccan Federation of Karate and Associated Disciplines (FRMKDA) said in a statement.
The gold medals were won by Souhaib Azibou (Kata Cadet -57 kg), Mohammed Es-Saidy (Kumite Junior -55 kg), Rim Dourai (Kumite U21 -50 kg), Salah Eddine El Bahry (Kumite U21 -75 kg) and Mohamed Amine Badjou (Kumite U21 -85 kg). As for the silver medals, they were won by Marwa Salmi (U21 Kumite), Roumayssae Tarkou (Kumite Junior -53 kg) and Tijani Lamoum (Kata Junior).
The bronze medals were won by Doae Choukri (U21 Kumite -61kg), Nejma Imitik (U21 Kumite -55 kg), Ahmed Haddadi (U21 Kumite -60 kg), Douaa El Machouat (Kumite Junior -59 kg), Jihane Bahajjou ( Kumite Junior -59 kg), Othmane Hebbal (Kumite Junior +76 kg), Hamza Hadri (Kumite Junior -76 kg), Rayane Bouzman (Kumite Cadet -63 kg), Tijani Lamoum, Adam Rchouq, Abderrahmane Chakir (Kata Team) and Hamza El Mernissi (Kata Cadet).
